The studio of Roughly Square specializes in design solutions for remodels, additions, and new construction projects in every room of your dwelling or cabin. The studio has experience in all the interior elements of your residence including the finishing touches such as custom cabinetry, stained glass, radiator covers, and built-in furniture. The studio also has experience in basic exterior elements such as paint schemes, siding, roofs and windows; as well as accessory structures to complement your dwelling including decks, porches, garages and sheds. PRE-DESIGN
• Historical Research - Assess the style of the dwelling and seek solutions to harmonize the new and existing elements.
• Programming - Interview process to categorize the needs of the homeowners and interpret this data into design criteria.
• Concept Design - Propose solutions that balance the needs, aesthetic and cost-constraints of the homeowners.
SITE DEVELOPMENT
• Site Analysis - Evaluate the composition of the surrounding neighborhood and recommend complementary aesthetics.
• Climatic Studies - Quantify the influence of the natural environment upon the dwelling and how both may interact in unison.
